Change lists come from build42guide.wiki, which states its data derives from the community wiki at a 42.19.0 stamp, re-checked against 42.20.0. Panic duration math, comfort values and depression thresholds have no published source — they are listed as open questions, not answers.

What the 42.20 Mood Landscape Is Cross-Verified

The felt change in Build 42 is that your emotional state became a body state: the reworked moodle list adds Hyperthermia, Hypothermia, Windchill, Heavy Load, Stressed and Pain, and deletes Angry and Hungover. Discomfort is now a first-class mechanic — heavy armor drags the whole panel down and feeds the stress track — which is also how the current Desensitized reads (“discomfort immunity”), a different trait from its B41 self. Panic Striker inverts panic into movement speed during fights; Brave (−4 points) kills panic before it starts and Cowardly (+2) guarantees every fight starts panicked, per the same trait tables.

What Got Deleted Cross-Verified

Personality reroll protection is gone: Lucky/Unlucky, Patient/Short Tempered, Brooding, Hypochondriac, Gift of the Gab and the alcohol-tolerance traits all left the system, along with B41’s anger/stress management options. If a trait guide you are reading still lists them, it is Build 41 content.

The Open Questions (Deliberately Unanswered)

For the practical side — sleep, food and stress management on day one — see survival basics; trait point math lives in the Character Planner and the trait tier list; combat-driven panic in groups is covered in intro to combat.
